Value a rural property
A house, barn, garden and pasture form a whole. The first step clarifies which buildings, areas and rights are included in the valuation.
Start my requestWhat the analysis considers
- Separate home, barn and outbuildings
- Condition and current use of each building
- Gardens, meadows and plots included
- Zoning and agricultural framework to check
A visible barn does not prove it can become a home. Conversion possibilities, rural land law and required permits must be checked with the relevant authorities. Scope is agreed before the service begins.

An old farmhouse can make room for new plans.
Living space, a barn and a garden: an old farmhouse offers possibilities within legal and technical constraints.
In Vaud, a grade 3 listing indicates local heritage interest. It does not automatically prohibit façade changes or allow unrestricted interior alterations. The project must preserve the building’s qualities. Creating apartments requires checking zoning, protection, structure, light, access and permits. Outside building zones, cantonal authorisation is generally required.
The garden, old walls and outbuildings also form part of the project. Their heritage interest and use should be reviewed with the municipality and relevant specialists.

Your valuation in practice
How is a farmhouse with a barn and outbuildings valued?
The home, barn, outbuildings and plots are identified separately. Their condition, permitted use and possible restrictions then inform the valuation of the agreed scope.
Is conversion potential included in the current value?
Current value and a conversion project are presented separately. Converting a barn into housing requires checks on rights, protections, technical feasibility and necessary permissions.
What does the CHF 500 price include?
A scheduled visit, a written PDF report and a phone discussion to explain the results. Property scope and delivery date are agreed before starting. No payment is requested in the form.
